Helping Young People Feel Safer, Stronger and Better Equipped for Life
Children and young people carry pressure in their bodies as well as their minds. We help schools provide practical, age appropriate tools that support emotional wellbeing, reduce the effects of stress and build lifelong strength.
Young People Are Carrying Too Much
Many children arrive at school carrying stress from pressure, change, loss, family difficulties, fear, social media and experiences they may not know how to explain.
This pressure can appear as anxiety, anger, withdrawal, poor concentration, disrupted sleep, challenging behaviour or physical discomfort. Telling a young person to calm down may not help when their body remains tense and alert.
Early support can change the path ahead.
The Body Must Be Part of the Answer
Release Recover Discover CIC helps young people understand the link between their experiences, their feelings and the tension held within their bodies.
We offer simple education and safe, practical tools that can help them recognise what is happening inside them. This gives young people a greater sense of choice, control and hope.
Our aim is not to label children. We want them to understand themselves, feel supported and develop skills they can carry into adult life.
Our Support for Schools
Young People’s Programmes
Age-appropriate education and guided experiences that help young people heal from the impact of tension and stress on their physical, mental and emotional health.
Older students can manage very well if they want to work independently with the online programme in their own time and space.
School Facilitator Training
Training and support for suitable members of staff who want to bring these tools into their school community.
The programme can be delivered as a four-week lesson plan. An ideal after-school activity.
Staff Wellbeing
Support, education and guidance for leaders and staff, across the school. Many adults carry growing levels of pressure while caring for others.
Independent learning or half-day/full day Workshops. All can be tailored to school needs.
Parents and Carers
Clear guidance that helps adults understand what role they can play in supporting young people as they go through the programme.
We help them to understand the effect releasing can have so they can encourage them to better manage the physical, mental and emotional release of tension from their past stress, overwhelm and trauma.
Be an Inspiration for the Next Generation
Children learn from what the adults around them understand, practise and demonstrate.
Through our social impact model, every adult who takes part helps us move closer to supporting more young people. Funds raised through adult programmes help us train facilitators and take this work into schools and communities.
Why This Matters
When children receive the right understanding and support early enough, we can help prevent today’s stress from becoming tomorrow’s struggle.
Our work aims to support:
- Greater emotional awareness
- Improved self understanding
- Healthier ways to manage stress
- Better concentration and engagement
- Stronger relationships
- Greater confidence and resilience
- Earlier help before problems grow
A Practical and Sustainable Approach
We want schools to have more than a one day visit. By training suitable adults within the school community, knowledge and support can remain available to pupils over time.
This creates a practical approach that schools can build upon, helping the work reach more children without relying solely on outside services.
Our Experience
Release Recover Discover CIC grew from more than a decade of work supporting adults and young people affected by stress and past experiences.
Our wider work has reached individuals, families, schools, community organisations, emergency services, prisons and children overseas. The approach draws upon Caroline Purvey’s experience as a former teacher, educator and founder of the Total Release Experience®.
Vice-Principal, Boarding Health and Welfare Shares her Experience
‘I have been excited and delighted to have been part of the TRE UK® pilot stress management programme for schools and working alongside Caroline and her team. We are now in the second year of offering the RRD programme to our Year 11, 12, and 13 students. We have seen some great individual resilience and emotional stability results. We are now starting to offer it as a therapy to other students who show symptoms of stress and anxiety. We have been so impressed that many of our staff have also learned the technique. I would thoroughly recommend this course to you and your students. Caroline is an excellent teacher who presents a complex yet simple concept in a very down-to-earth and engaging manner.’
Let Us Talk About Your School
Every school community is different. We will listen to what your pupils, staff and families need before discussing the most suitable way forward.
Whether you are exploring a pupil programme, staff wellbeing, facilitator training or a funded partnership, we would be pleased to hear from you.
‘A’ Level Student Shares
‘Before doing the programme, I found that many things got to me. Exams, work, and all manner of stressful situations would have me freaking out and having panic attacks, which would often stop me sleeping, which would, in turn, make matters worse. I tried a lot of different ways of trying to control it but couldn’t
I was a little unsure and sceptical at first. But I had nothing to lose, so I went ahead with my first session. I had positive results from week one.
I highly recommend the programme because the results could truly improve your daily life as they did mine. ‘ ‘
Be an Inspiration for the Next Generation
Every programme purchased helps fund facilitator training in schools, giving young people a life tool to release stress, build resilience, and feel more in control of their lives.
